The ‘Breaking Bad’ Lego set is the G.O.A.T

Vignette2RThe whole world is Breaking Bad mad right now. I am, you are, they are, it’s a fact. If you’re not knee-deep in the current drama about *SPOILER ALERT* Nazis and flash-forward ricin poison mysteries and car washes and Walt’s perfectly maintained goatee beard, no doubt you are some sort of cave monster.

Anyway, just as it seems like the world is right at the critical-mass of Breaking Bad mania, along comes this greatest-of-all-time Lego set for Walt’s meth superlab.

Obviously the kiddie-friendly Lego company isn’t officially behind a model glorifying murderers and the production of meth; the idea and designs comes from the Citizen Brick company which apparently exists solely to produce officially unsanctioned – but officially awesome – custom Lego models.

Among a seriously mind-blowing collection of customised Lego sets and figures from Afghan war-themed soldiers – kitted out in modern military gadgets and dress – to vampires and punk rockers, is the Superlab Playset.

“Bummed out that your favorite show is going off the air? Well soothe yourself with the Citizen Brick Superlab Playset. Who knows what fun you’ll cook up with this deluxe set, chock full of realistic details, and three exclusive minifigs!” reads the product description. Some fucking awesome shit follows, like custom figures of Walt (pretty perfect likeness), Gus (just a brown guy, not  great likeness) and Mike (old guy with a little beard, surly looking, decent likeness).

While no doubt the novelty of having Lego-Walt push around barrels of Lego-methylamine on Lego-trolleys while Lego-Mike and Lego-Gus watch on would wear off quickly, fans of the show will be stoked on all the tiny details – the security camera watching over the lab, 201.8 pounds on the scales, the iconic red tile floor and yes, even the little Lego-barrels of methylamine.

Unfortunately, even with the $250 price tag, it’s all sold out already. Guess now we gotta wait for the next product drop; “Breaking Bad: the desert showdown scene with the DGAF Nazis”
